Critical injuries reported in solo crash on I-45 in Texas City
TEXAS CITY, TX – One person went to the hospital Wednesday after a crash along the interstate in southeast Galveston County, reports Click 2 Houston.
The accident happened in the evening on the southbound side of I-45 near the Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, or FM 1764, in Texas City. This is around 42 miles southeast of Houston.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the collision, which they say involved only one vehicle.
Medics transported one adult victim to an area hospital with critical injuries.
The accident caused significant delays along the interstate while emergency crews worked at the scene.
