Tow truck rear-ends car on I-10 WB near Studemont, killing 1

HOUSTON, TX – A tow truck rear-ended a vehicle along the freeway in Houston Monday night, fatally injuring one person, reports Fox 26.

The accident happened shortly after 11 p.m. on the westbound side of I-10, or the Katy Freeway, near Studemont Street. This is just south of Bayou Greenways Park in the Washington Avenue area.

Police say that a westbound tow truck collided with the rear of a disabled Toyota Corolla. Hazard lights on the sedan were activated at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Toyota, who has not yet been named by police, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
