One dead in fatal motorcycle crash on Katy Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – At least one person died in a motorcycle collision Thursday evening on Katy Freeway near Park Ten, reports FOX 26 Houston.

The wreck reportedly happened at about 6:15 p.m. Houston police said the incident involved two vehicles: a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

Authorities have not yet clarified whether there were any other victims or released the name of the deceased. They also have not confirmed whether the known victim was riding the motorcycle or driving the truck.

The crash blocked part of the Freeway for a time. Crews later cleared the scene and reopened the affected lanes.

Investigators continue to examine the cause of the deadly collision.
