Hazmat spill reported on I-45 North Freeway in Houston following heavy truck crash

HOUSTON, TX – A hazmat spill was reported on Interstate 45 North Freeway as a result of a heavy truck crash on Wednesday, ABC13 reports.

The single-truck crash occurred in the southbound lanes before Greens Road and resulted in heavy traffic delays.

Officials cleaned up the spill and cleared the scene by 6 a.m.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
