Three dead, nine injured in Kerr County motorcycle club accident

KERRVILLE, TX (KERR COUNTY) – Three people were killed and nine were injured yesterday in an accident involving a motorcycle club that took place near Kerrville, located about two hours west of Austin.

According to KXAN, the accident happened just after noon on Medina Highway, also known as State Highway 16, when a person crossed over the center line and into the pathway of six motorcycles from the club, which was celebrating its anniversary.

Three people died at the scene and nine more were taken to the hospital with critical injuries, according to the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver who caused the accident is facing multiple charges of intoxicated assault and intoxicated manslaughter.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
