Suspect arrested in connection to fatal drunk-driving collision in San Marcos
SAN MARCOS, TX – Law enforcement officials have charged a suspect they believe caused a six-car pileup that resulted in the death of a San Antonio man.
According to KSAT, the accident occurred on September 6th when 30-year-old Kyle Nissen was traveling at a high rate of speed on Wonder World Drive.
Nissen was approaching the Purgatory Creek Bridge when he sideswiped another vehicle and traveled into the oncoming lane. Nissen’s Ford F-250 then crashed into David Hollinbeck’s F-250. Hollinbeck died as a result of the collision.
Several other people were rushed to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Nisssen turned himself in to the San Marcos Police on Monday. He is facing a number of charges including intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and intoxication assault with a vehicle.
