Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver on Barbara Mae St near Cloverleaf
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — One person died last Wednesday, November 15, after being hit by a vehicle on Barbara Mae Street in east central Harris County, reports the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The fatal incident unfolded in the 1000 block of the road, near the intersection with Duncum Street in the Cloverleaf area. It was first reported at 6:18 a.m.
While the circumstances of the event remain under investigation, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 3 Patrol units arrived on the scene to find the victim with no signs of life. By then, the suspect vehicle had fled southbound on Barbara Mae Street, with its driver failing to stop and render aid.
At this time, officials have not disclosed the victim’s identity nor released a description of the fleeing vehicle.
