Driver dies following crash near Clinton Park Tri-Community
HOUSTON, TX – According to KHOU, a male driver died following a wreck on the E Loop Fwy near Clinton Dr on Thursday.
A blue Hyundai Tucson driver was speeding northbound on E Loop Fwy around 3 a.m. when he collided with a white Peterbilt 579 semi-truck.
The collision caused the Hyundai to stray off the road and crash into a tree before catching fire.
Rescue crews pronounced the Hyundai driver dead at the scene.
Following the accident, the semi-truck driver stayed at the scene. Authorities questioned and released them.
The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
