Alleged impaired driver fatally collides with pedestrian near Energy Corridor
HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, a suspected impaired driver struck and killed a man on I-10 Frontage Rd near Central Park West Blvd on Saturday.
A man driving a black Kia Sportage pulled over to the side of the road to replace a tire. Around 1:10 a.m., he was hit by Maggie Anne Louise Webber, 29, who was driving a white Lexus RX350, as he was putting the defective tire in his trunk.
Rescue crews pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Authorities determined Webber displayed signs of impairment and charged her with DUI. This is Webber’s second DUI charge.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
