Driver fatally collides with pedestrian on Almeda Rd
HOUSTON, TX – According to the Houston Police Department, a driver struck and killed a male pedestrian at 12200 Almeda Road on Sunday.
A 39-year-old woman was driving a black Chevrolet Equinox south on Almeda Rd when she collided with a pedestrian walking in the roadway.
First responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Following the collision, the driver stayed at the scene. Authorities do not believe she was impaired.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
The HPD Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
