Driver fatally collides with pole near Independence Square
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A driver fatally collided with a pole while trying to avoid hitting a dog near Spencer Rd and N Eldridge Pkwy on Thursday, according to KHOU.
Authorities believe Joeramon Janas, 27, was driving at high speeds when he swerved to avoid hitting a dog, lost control of his vehicle, and slammed into a light pole just after midnight.
Following the collision, emergency crews blocked off the area to process the scene. Two drivers drove through the barricade. Authorities investigated the drivers for DWI.
