Pedestrian fatally struck by driver on Airline Drive near Casa Verde

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian died days after being hit by a driver on the 11700 block of Airline Drive on August 29, according to the Houston Police Department.

A 45-year-old woman was driving a gray Toyota Yaris south on Airline Drive when she struck a 40-year-old man in the roadway around 8:50 p.m.

First responders transported the pedestrian to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Tuesday.

Following the collision, the driver stayed at the scene. She did not display signs of impairment. Authorities questioned and released her.
