Update: Man charged in triple-fatality crash at Almeda, Orem
HOUSTON, TX – Police have brought intoxication manslaughter charges against the man responsible for causing a triple-fatality crash on Sunday in Houston.
According to Fox 26 Houston, authorities have identified the 29-year-old driver as Tony Jerome Oliver.
Oliver, police say, ran a red light while heading southbound through the intersection of Almeda Road and West Orem Drive. His Chrysler 300 collided with a Buick Enclave in the intersection, causing the Buick to hit three additional cars.
Authorities have identified two of the three victims from the Buick as 23-year-old Ronald Cedric Harris III and 24-year-old Davion Perry. The 21-year-old female victim has not yet been named by police.
Medics transported Oliver to an area hospital with serious injuries. He remains in the hospital at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
