Elderly driver crashes into Texas State Optical in Atascocita

ATASCOCITA, TX – Several people sustained minor injuries Thursday when a vehicle slammed into an optometry office in northeast Harris County.

According to Fox 26, the accident happened in the afternoon at Texas State Optical on FM 1960 between West Lake Houston Parkway and Pinehurst Trail Drive in Atascocita, about 25 miles northeast of Houston.

Police aren’t yet sure what caused the elderly driver to lose control of his vehicle and crash into the local business.

Medics treated the driver and six people from the building at the scene; they did not require hospitalization.
