Deputy hospitalized after Frenchtown crash on Eastex Fwy
HOUSTON, TX – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle injury crash along the freeway in northeast Houston Tuesday morning.
According to ABC 13, the accident happened before 9:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the Eastex Freeway, or I-69, at Collingsworth Street in Frenchtown.
Officials haven’t shared any details regarding the collision except to say that it involved a police cruiser and a second vehicle.
Medics transported a deputy from the cruiser to an area hospital; he is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries.
It’s unclear if the other driver required hospitalization.
Motorists likely faced delays along I-69 in the area of the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.
