Two-vehicle crash near Bear Creek Pioneers Park claims life of driver

HOUSTON, TX — Authorities responded to a two-vehicle collision early Sunday, December 10, in northwest Houston that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man, according to the Houston Police Department.

The fatal accident took place at 4300 North Eldridge Parkway, in an area northeast of Bear Creek Pioneers Park and Addicks Reservoir. It was first reported at around 1:40 a.m.

A witness told authorities that the victim was behind the wheel of a silver Nissan Sentra traveling southbound when the Nissan ran a red light. After entering the intersection, the Nissan hit a white Ford F-150 pickup truck going westbound on Clay Road.

Responding paramedics rushed the driver of the Nissan to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center where he died from his injuries, confirmed officials.

Both occupants of the Ford–a 43-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman–were taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries, but were listed in stable conditions.

An investigation by the HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division remains ongoing.
